DAY ACTIVITY
1 Delhi– Shimla (345 kms / 8 hrs) )(Dinner). This morning you will proceed to Shimla a charming hill station surrounded by the green pastures and snow capped hills. This afternoon take a walking tour of Shimla, climb the Jakoo hills, visit the temple of lord Hanuman and enjoy some panoramic views of Shimla. Also visit the Viceregal Lodge, which once served as the seat of power, later take a stroll down the Mall Road. Overnight at the hotel.
2 Shimla – Kufri – Chail – Shimla (Breakfast & Dinner) This morning you will proceed for a full day excursion tour of Kufri & Chail, visit Kufri a popular ski resort in winters, which offers some stunning mountain views, later drive to Chail and visit the Palace of former Maharaja of Patiyala. Evening is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
3 Shimla – Manali (260 kms / 7-8 hrs) (Breakfast & Dinner) Today you will be transferred by road to Manali, located in the ancient Kullu valley, surrounded by towering peaks at an arm length. Arrive and proceed to your hotel, rest of the day is at leisure to visit the local markets on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
4 Manali (51 kms / 2-3 hrs one way) (Breakfast & Dinner) This morning you will visit the Solang Valley, which offers fine views of glaciers and snow capped peaks. A place not to be missed is Rohtang Pass, 51 km from Manali at an altitude of 3978 meters (subject to weather conditions) Rest of the day is at leisure or take a stroll down the Mall road. Overnight at the hotel.
5 Manali (Breakfast & Dinner) Today visit the 450 years old Hadimba Devi Temple, the oldest temple in Manali, proceed to visit the Tibetan center & monastery, lastly visit the nearby Vashisth village, known for its hot Sulphur springs. Rest of the day is at leisure for shopping and individual activities. Overnight at the hotel.
6 Manali – Dharamshala (235 kms / 6-7 hrs) (Breakfast & Dinner) This morning you will proceed by road to Dharamshala, magnificently set to the background of the Dhauldhar Mountains, which houses the seat of his Holiness ‘The Dalai Lama’ leader of the Tibetans, since 1960. Arrive and proceed to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
7 Dharamshala (Breakfast & Dinner) This morning you will proceed for half day excursion to visit the Baijnath temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. Later this afternoon you will visit the Tibetan monastery in Macleodganj (upper Dharamshala) a seat of Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama. Rest of the day is at leisure to explore the local Tibetan markets at Macleodganj. Overnight at the hotel.
8 Dharamshala – Dalhousie (140 kms / 4 hrs) (Breakfast & Dinner) Today you will proceed by road to Dalhousie sprawled over five hills ranging from 1,600 – 2,400 meters offering breathtaking vies of the Dhaladhar mountain ranges. Rest of the day is at leisure to take leisurely walks on the mall road. Overnight at the hotel.
9 Dalhousie (Breakfast & Dinner) Today you proceed on a scenic walk to the Satdhara (seven springs) said to contain mica and medicinal properties (4 kms / 1 hr) continue your walk to the Martyr’s memorial at Panchpula (five bridges), walk back to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
10 Depart Dalhousie –Delhi (Breakfast ) Transfer by road to Delhi airport / railway station (555 kms / 10-11 hrs) or Pathankot railway station (140 kms / 2-3 hrs) for your onward journey back home.
