Finland Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Helsinki:

Transfer from Helsinki Airport to hotel in connection with your flight arrival. Check in to your Hotel. Rest of the day free for leisure. Helsinki, Finland’s southern capital, sits on a peninsula in the Gulf of Finland. Its central avenue, Mannerheimintie, is flanked by institutions including the National Museum, tracing Finnish history from the Stone Age to the present. Also on Mannerheimintie are the imposing Parliament House and Kiasma, a contemporary art museum. Ornate red-brick Uspenski Cathedral overlooks a harbor.


Day 2: : Flight to Ivalo/ Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort/ Finnish Sauna

Today, get transfer to Helsinki Airport for your flight to Ivalo. On arrival, get transfer to Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort for stay experience in Igloo !

Kakslauttanen has expanded from humble beginnings to two separate East and West ‘Villages’ of cosy log cabin chalets, glass and snow igloos, hybrid log-and-glass igloos, and restaurants. The Northern Lights are a priority and the resort is right in the zone for optimal aurora viewing.

Enjoy the experience of a Finnish Sauna !! A savusauna ( smoke sauna ) is a special type of sauna without a chimney. Wood is burned in a particularly large stove and the smoke fills the room. When the sauna is hot enough, the fire is allowed to die and the smoke is ventilated out.

The residual heat of the stove is enough for the duration of the sauna.After your body has heated up inside a smoke sauna, you’re expected to jump into a frozen lake.

Day 3: Drive to Lake Inari/ Wilderness Hotel Inari/ Snowmobile Experience

Today, we drive to the beautiful town of Inari !!

Inari is probably the most epic place in Lapland to catch the northern lights. Its miles away from civilization, and so far up north that the chances of seeing the aurora borealis are extremely high.

Later, in the afternoon, we leave for an exciting Snowmobile experience !!

Thrill seekers will enjoy this guided snowmobile experience. Your skilled instructor will train you in the safe use of these vehicles, so you gain the confidence needed to have a good time in the snow. You’ll be taken to a beautiful location so you can enjoy the scenery and winter atmosphere while practicing on the vehicles.

Day 4: Arctic Snow Hotel

Today, get transfer to the famous Arctic Snow Hotel for a unique stay experience. Open from the beginning of December to the end of March, this is the quintessential Northern Lights viewing base, far from city light pollution and by a frozen lake. Rooms and suites in the SnowHotel have ice-slab beds covered in furs and Arctic sleeping bags, and are maintained at an ambient temperature of between zero and minus five degrees – positively balmy in contrast with the outdoor frost, which drops as low as minus 30.

Day 5: Rovaniemi/ Husky Safari & Sled

Check out from Snow Hotel & get transfer to centrally located Hotel in Rovaniemi. Enjoy this tour and be charmed by the strength of the huskies. Meet lovely, cuddly huskies at the farm, and participate in a husky safari where you will ride through the beautiful Lapland wilderness. A husky - driven sled ride is an unrivalled adventure! Professional dog-breeders will introduce you to the life of the huskies on the farm and after you will have a safari (according to your chosen distance) on dog sleds that hold 1-2 people. One will drive and the other a passenger On your way back you will be offered hot berry juice, tea or coffee, and traditional cookies.


Day 6: Arctic Circle, Santa Claus Village & Santas Reindeers/ Northern Lights Tour

Cross the Arctic Circle and explore the Santa Claus Village. Enjoy the attractions of the Santa Claus Village independently. Meet Santa Claus and his reindeers, visit elf workshops, shop for local crafts and gifts.

Later, in the night, we leave for a guided Northern Lights Hunt Tour !! Finding the Northern Lights without a guide may mean wasted searches—something you can’t afford if you’re short on time in Finland. This tour from Rovaniemi ups the chances of sightings with a guide to interpret the conditions and take you to a prime viewpoint. Plus, you’ll hear stories about the lights you might miss if searching alone, and enjoy a Lappish barbecue as an extra local touch.


Day 7: Ranua Zoo Trip with Lunch

See some of Finland’s beautiful native animals close-up on a 5-hour trip to Ranua Zoo from Rovaniemi. Stroll around the forest trails of the family-friendly wildlife park, and observe Arctic animals such as lynx, bears, reindeer, owls and more, plus Finland's only polar bears. Then, visit the zoo’s restaurants and shops, including a souvenir, candy and wine store.


Day 8: Flight to Helsinki/ Guided City tour

Board a flight to Helsinki from Rovaniemi. Later, get transfer to your Hotel. Rest for a while.

Later, get pick up for a guided city tour of Helsinki. This city sightseeing tour takes in the most important and interesting parts of Helsinki, such as the historical centre. En route you will see sights including, Senate Square, Lutheran Cathedral, Uspenski Cathedral, the Presidential Palace, City Hall, the Parliament building, Finlandia Hall and the Opera House. We also make a stop at the 'Sibelius Monument or Temppeliaukio Church.


Day 9: Flight back home

Breakfast at Hotel. Get pick up from Hotel & transfer to HEL airport for your flight back to India !
